Culhane is a natural born artist who began pursuing her love of art full-time in 1989. Since introducing her talent to the world, Carol has been received with enthusiasm and respect in all of her endeavors. Everyone who has seen her artwork agrees, Carol has a special talent that sets her apart from all others.
Specializing in commission painting, Carol is known for her “one of a kind” ornaments. She paints on ornaments of all shapes and sizes in her studio. The studio is located in a century old barn at “Culhane’s Tree Farm”. She and her husband Jerry own and operate a choose and cut Christmas Tree Farm.
Although Carol’s success began with her glass ornaments, she paints on a variety of surfaces. Some of these surfaces include canvas, slate, silk ties, clothing, cars, boats, glass, windows and everything in between.
Her most recent endeavors include the High Falls Brewery “Horses on Parade” community promotion. Carol’s sponsor was the Children’s Hospital at Strong where she has a long-term relationship. She painted all of the mural work on the Pediatric Floor and Play deck. Carol painted several murals at the Rochester Ronald McDonald House for which they have given her the honor of being their “official artist”.
Carol has created commission artwork for various organizations including tourism posters for Orleans County painting for Ducks Unlimited and various art shows. In honor of the Vietnam Veterans courageous efforts, Carol designed a commemorative rendering for reproduction and fundraising purposes to support the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Rochester New York.
Carol is a member and council member of the Memorial Art Gallery, the Genesee Orleans Council of the Arts and an active participant in the HOP Gallery. She volunteers at Children’s Hospital at Strong, the Orleans County Nursing Home and donates her talents to the community in many other ways.
Carol’s talent knows no boundaries and this diversity is what makes her such a unique artist.
